Austin’s second hotel under Starwood’s Westin brand will open in 2015, the same year two big hotels are scheduled to open in the downtown area of Texas' capital city.
The 326-room Westin Austin Downtown will be a block and a half from the city’s convention center.
The owner, White Lodging Services, is also developing the 1,015-room JW Marriott Downtown Austin. And, Manchester Texas Financial Group is building a 1,000-room Fairmont.
The city’s first Westin, the 340-room Westin Austin at the Domain, opened in 2009.
