Beach House Turks and Caicos targets fall opening

By Gay Nagle Myers
The Beach House Turks and Caicos will open in October in Providenciales, following a five-month renovation of the former Turks and Caicos Club on Grace Bay.

The Beach House is the first of several planned for Beach House Movement, a company specializing in elegant, boutique properties where rooms have no numbers, relaxation is the theme and Caribbean cuisine the focus.

Renovations to the 21-suite hotel began in late May and include all suites, public areas and facilities.

The one- and two-bedroom suites each start at 1,150 square feet. There will be "Pampering Pods" on the beach — private areas with chaises and small tables for dining.

Elements being added to the Beach House include a signature scent, a line of bath amenities and spa products.

The food-and-beverage operation will include a new 1,500-square-foot kitchen, a wine cellar and bar area, a 90-seat poolside restaurant, in-room dining, and wine tastings and tapas menus.

The Beach House will offer destination-wedding packages and corporate group retreats.

Rates will range from $532 to $1,038 per room, per night, double.
