Boston will get dual-branded Aloft-Element in 2016

By Danny King
A dual-branded Aloft-Element hotel project will open across the street from the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in 2016.

The 330-room Aloft Boston Waterfront and 180-room Element Boston Waterfront will be owned by Ares Management and CV Properties and will be managed by the brands' parent, Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

The $158 million project, to be built on a 5.2-acre parcel, will also include more than 8,000 square feet of street-level retail and more than 11,000 square feet of meetings space combined.
