Downtown Tampa hotel reflagged as a Hilton

By Danny King
The Hyatt Regency in Tampa has been reflagged as a Hilton. The hotel will receive upgrades to guestrooms, the lobby and food-and-beverage facilities.

The 521-room hotel will be temporarily renamed Hotel Tampa until the renovations are completed next year, after which the property will become the Hilton Tampa Downtown.

The hotel, which was built in 1982, has 30,000 square feet of meeting space as well as a pool, fitness center and an on-site Starbucks.

  • Consumer media discover that travel agents do exist

"Contrary to some thoughts, travel agents do exist ... We are usually able to get clients better prices, and we know we can see that clients have better experiences. And as our personal motto is: Our Service Travels With You."
