Four Seasons Kyoto in the works

By Danny King
Four Seasons reached an agreement to operate a 186-room hotel in Kyoto. It will be the company's first hotel in the city and third in Japan.

The Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto will sit on a five-acre site in the historic section of Kyoto. No date has been set for the hotel’s opening.

Kyoto, a city of about 1.5 million people, is about 250 miles west of Tokyo, where Four Seasons has two hotels.
