Four Seasons London to open in February

By Felicity Long

The Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane is poised to open in the city's Mayfair area this winter.

A soft opening is scheduled for late 2010, while the hotel is taking reservations for arrival from Feb. 1.

Four Seasons is marketing the 192-room property as a new hotel. The building that formerly housed the Four Seasons Inn on the Park was gutted and redesigned. Four Seasons closed the hotel for an extensive renovation in October 2008.

Highlights of the redo are the 10th floor lounge, a multipurpose space with views of Green Park, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace; the Amaranto restaurant; and a spa with nine treatment rooms (also on the 10th floor) overlooking Hyde Park.

  • Consumer media discover that travel agents do exist

"Contrary to some thoughts, travel agents do exist ... We are usually able to get clients better prices, and we know we can see that clients have better experiences. And as our personal motto is: Our Service Travels With You."
