Gay hotel to open in Manhattan

By Danny King
TheOutNYC-lobby-renderNew York’s first gay hotel, the Out NYC, is slated to open in the city’s Hell's Kitchen neighborhood in early 2012. The hotel's nightclub is scheduled to open this fall.

The property, located on 42nd Street between 10th and 11th avenues, will also have a restaurant called Kitchen, a courtyard, a gym and wellness center.

The developers say the hotel will be "straight-friendly."

New York will allow same-sex marriages starting July 24, becoming the largest U.S. state to do so.
