Gran Melia Cancun to switch to Paradisus brand

The Gran Melia Cancun will reopen Dec. 1 as the all-inclusive Paradisus Cancun, joining Melia Hotels International's two properties that opened in Playa del Carmen in December 2011.

The 678-suite resort will offer an adults-only Royal Service section, a family and kids area and concierge service throughout.

Facilities include six restaurants, five bars, four pools, a spa, nine-hole golf course and a convention center.
