Construction has started on a 200-room Westin hotel on Georgia’s Jekyll Island.

The $41 million hotel is slated to open in September 2014. It’s expected to complement the 128,000-square-foot Jekyll Island Convention Center that opened last year.

Jekyll Island is about 30 miles north of the Florida border and about 320 miles southeast of Atlanta.
