Hilton will add four Turkey hotels by 2016

By Danny King
Hilton Worldwide reached agreements for four additional Turkey hotels totaling almost 600 rooms to open by 2016.

Hilton is reflagging a 115-room Yildizhan Hotel in Izmir as a DoubleTree by Hilton next year after the property gets about $1 million in upgrades. The 126-room Hilton Garden Inn Istanbul Beylikduzu will open in 2015. And in 2016, both the 170-room Hampton by Hilton Istanbul Dolapdere and the 182-room Hilton Garden Inn Ismir Bayrakli will open their doors.

With those hotels open, Hilton would have two dozen properties in Turkey.

"Contrary to some thoughts, travel agents do exist ... We are usually able to get clients better prices, and we know we can see that clients have better experiences. And as our personal motto is: Our Service Travels With You."
