Istanbul’s first Hyatt Regency is scheduled open in January 2014.

The 310-room Hyatt Regency Atakoy will be located in the western part of the city, about six miles from Istanbul’s Old Town district. The hotel will have about 18,000 square feet of meeting space as well as two restaurants and a rooftop bar.

Istanbul has two Hyatt-branded hotels: the Grand Hyatt Istanbul and the Park Hyatt Istanbul Macka Palas.

Last week, Hilton Worldwide reached an agreement to manage what the company says will be Istanbul’s largest hotel and conference center when it opens next fall.
