InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) will open the 179-room Holiday Inn Lima Airport Hotel in Peru in early 2016.
The $24 million, new-build property will be located adjacent to the city's Jorge Chavez Airport and two miles from the Port of Callao, one of the busiest seaports in Latin America.
"We see great potential for our brands in Peru," said Joel Eisemann, IHGs chief development officer, the Americas.
"Lima is Peru's economic center and the development of airport hotels is a positive sign of economic well-being. There is great demand for this type of hotel," he said.
The hotel will have sound insulation to minimize airport noise, as well as a restaurant, bar and indoor pool. Follow Gay Nagle Myers on Twitter @gnmtravelweekly.
