The Imperial Palace, a hotel-casino on the Las Vegas Strip, will be renamed the Quad Resort & Casino in December, and will undergo extensive renovations through the end of next year.
Owner and operator Caesars Entertainment said the 2,640-room hotel will get an additional 45,000 square feet of ground-floor space, including 15,000 additional square feet for the casino.
The resort’s main entrance will be moved from the Strip-facing west side to the property’s north side.
The Quad’s south side will include a pedestrian walkway that will connect visitors to both Harrah’s Carnival Court and Caesars’ Linq retail and entertainment district, a $550 million development slated to open by the end of next year.
The Imperial Palace was built in 1979.
