InterContinental hotel in development in St. Petersburg

By Danny King
Russia’s second InterContinental hotel is slated to open in St. Petersburg in 2016.

The 173-room hotel will be shaped like a trapezoid.

The hotel will be part of the Europe Embankment project in the oldest part of the city. That project will include the 250,000-square-foot Eifman Dance Palace.

InterContinental opened its first Russia hotel in Moscow in December.
