A 131-room JW Marriott is scheduled to open in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, in 2014.
The hotel will be located on the first seven floors of a 15-story mixed-use tower being built above the existing Blue Mall Santo Domingo in the capital city's Piantini business area.
It will be the second JW Marriott in the Caribbean, after Cancun, and Marriott International's third hotel in Santo Domingo, joining a Courtyard and the Renaissance Jaragua Hotel & Casino.
