Luxury Collection resort opens on Koh Samui

By Danny King

Vana Belle, a Luxury Collection Resort, has opened on the Thai island of Koh Samui.

The resort includes 80 suites and villas and two restaurants.

The property is Thailand’s third hotel in Starwood's Luxury Collection. The others are Bangkok’s Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit in bangkok and the Naka Island in Phuket.

Correction: Koh Samui is about 50 miles from the mainland of Thailand. A previous report mistakenly said the Vana Belle resort was 50 miles from the southern tip of Koh Samui.
