The Westin Key West Resort and Marina will be rebranded as a
Margaritaville hotel.
The 178-room resort will be renamed Margaritaville Key West
Resort and Marina. The hotel was built in 1996.
The first Margaritaville restaurant opened in Key West in
1987. The brand is named after Jimmy Buffett’s 1977 hit song.
Margaritaville Holdings oversees seven resorts and more than
60 restaurants and bars. Florida’s Margaritaville Hollywood Beach opened in
September 2015, while the first phase of $750 million Margaritaville Orlando
will open this year.
