The Westin Key West Resort and Marina will be rebranded as a Margaritaville hotel.

The 178-room resort will be renamed Margaritaville Key West Resort and Marina. The hotel was built in 1996.

The first Margaritaville restaurant opened in Key West in 1987. The brand is named after Jimmy Buffett’s 1977 hit song.

Margaritaville Holdings oversees seven resorts and more than 60 restaurants and bars. Florida’s Margaritaville Hollywood Beach opened in September 2015, while the first phase of $750 million Margaritaville Orlando will open this year.
