Marriott hotel opens in Bangalore

The first Marriott hotel in Bangalore, India, has opened.

The Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield, about a 30-minute drive from central Bangalore. The hotel has 324 guestrooms, 10,000 square feet of meeting space, a fitness center and four restaurants and bars.

With a population of about 8.5 million people, Bangalore is India’s third-largest city behind Mumbai and New Delhi.

Marriott International later this year will open a 250-room Ritz-Carlton hotel in Bangalore.
