Marriott hotel under development in Gabon

LibrevilleMarriottHotel-renderThe first Marriott hotel in the African country of Gabon will open in 2014, with an extended-stay property scheduled to open there a year later.

The Libreville Marriott will include 250 rooms and suites as well as two restaurants, a sports bar and about 11,000 square feet of public meeting space.

The Marriott Executive Apartments Libreville will have 40 units, including 10 two-bedroom and 10 three-bedroom apartments.

The property will have a gym and a pool in addition to access to the public meeting space at the Libreville Marriott.

The coastal city of Libreville is the capital of Gabon, a country that has about 1.5 million people and is located on the Atlantic Ocean, just south of Cameroon.
