Metropolitan Hotel in Toronto to become a DoubleTree

DoubleTree by Hilton will reflag the Metropolitan Hotel Toronto.

The 422-room hotel, which was built in 1989, was recently acquired by Bayview Hospitality Group. The property will be reflagged later this year.

DoubleTree, which has locations near Toronto's Pearson Airport and Niagara Falls, will more than double its number of properties in Canada with planned conversions of hotels in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan.
