The opening date for the W Retreat & Spa, Vieques Island has been moved up to March 25. In November, the hotel announced that it would open in May.
The 157-room resort will be the first W in the Caribbean. The only other W Retreat & Spa opened in 2006 in the Maldives.
The W Vieques is on the site of the former Martineau Bay resort. Following a $100 million renovation, it will feature four restaurants, a 6,000-square-foot spa, two beaches and round-the-clock concierge services.
An introductory Surrender to Your Senses package, priced at $359 per room, per night, double for a two-night minimum stay through Dec. 22, includes an upgrade to a mega-room with a private balcony.
It also includes access to WET, W Vieques’ poolside and cabana area; welcome drinks in the W lounge at Vieques’ Antonioo Riviera Rodriguez Airport; and daily breakfast at Mix on the Beach, W Vieques’ signature restaurant overseen by master chef Alain Ducasse.
