Palace Resorts launches marketing unit for Hard Rock properties

By Gay Nagle Myers
Hard Rock Punta CanaPalace Resorts launched its All-Inclusive Collection, which will serve as the sales and marketing arm for Hard Rock resorts in the Dominican Republic and Mexico.

The three resorts in Mexico are currently operating under the Palace brand and will switch to the Hard Rock banner in 2012 and 2013.

Hard Rock International entered the Caribbean market in November 2010 when it reflagged the former Moon Palace Resort as the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana.

“The All-Inclusive Collection was developed out of the need to market these properties differently than those in the Palace Resorts collection,” said Rafael Chapur, Palace Resorts' COO.

By early summer, the 601-room Cancun Palace is scheduled to become the Hard Rock Hotel Cancun, and the 348-room Vallarta Palace will convert to the Hard Rock Puerto Vallarta.

In 2013, the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya will combine two adjacent resorts: the 489-room, family-oriented Aventura Cove Palace and the 777-room, adults-only Aventura Spa Palace.
