Sofitel unveils plans for three Asia-Pacific hotels

By Danny King
Accor’s Sofitel brand plans to add hotels in Bali; Wellington, New Zealand; and Shenyang, China, by the end of next year.

The Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach, located about 25 miles from Denpasar, will open in September. The beachfront property will have 415 rooms, including 17 villas.

The Sofitel Wellington, located on Bolton Street near Parliament House and the Papa Museum, will open next year.

ASofitel is reflagging what had been the Sheraton Shenyang Lido. That hotel will have 590 rooms and six restaurants and bars when it reopens after a renovation in early 2014.
