Sonesta International Hotels will reflag the InterContinental Hotel Houston as the Royal Sonesta Hotel Houston in July.
It will be Sonesta's first Texas hotel.
The 23-story hotel, which is few blocks from the Galleria entertainment district, has 485 rooms as well as 50,000 square feet of public meeting space.
Sonesta was acquired in January by Hospitality Properties Trust of Newton, Mass., for about $175 million in stock and assumed debt.
Last month, Sonesta said it would reflag the Crowne Plaza Philadelphia Downtown in June. Crowne Plaza, like InterContinental, is owned by U.K. hotel giant IHG.
