Steigenberger Hotel Group will reorganize operations into three divisions from the current two units to better manage its 79 hotels in Western Europe and Egypt.
The Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts division will be split into Steigenberger Business Hotels and Steigenberger Resort Hotels. The company’s InterCityHotel division will remain as is.
As part of the reorganization, the Frankfurt-based company named former Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group executive Jörg Schiffmann as vice president of operations at Steigenberger Business Hotels.
Kai Gehrmann, who had been running the company’s German hotels, has been promoted to vice president of operations at Steigenberger Resort Hotels. And Thomas Knabner was been named vice president of operations overseeing the 33 InterCityHotel properties.
