The first Tryp by Wyndham hotel in the U.S. opened in New York City.
The Tryp New York City Times Square South, located on West 35th Street between 8th and 9th avenues, has 173 rooms. The property has a tapas bar as well as 1,200 square feet of meeting space.
Wyndham Worldwide is looking to expand select-service operations in the U.S., where companies such as Marriott and Hyatt are also opening more select-service hotels.
Globally, there are 90 Tryp hotels totaling more than 13,000 rooms.
