Dubai’s first Viceroy hotel is due to open in 2017 at the “trunk” of Palm Jumeirah, the tree-shaped, man-made archipelago.
The Viceroy Dubai Palm Jumeirah will have 481 rooms as well as 221 luxury residences. The beachfront property, which will cost $1 billion to build, will include a 330-foot-long pool, a beach club and a children’s club.
The hotel will be Viceroy’s second in the United Arab Emirates. The Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi opened on top of a Formula 1 racetrack in 2009.
