Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ upscale Westin brand will make its Cleveland debut next year when a former Crowne Plaza undergoes a $64 million renovation.

The Westin Cleveland Convention Center will open adjacent to the city’s convention center next summer. The hotel will include 481 rooms as well as 26,000 square feet of meeting space.

The property, which is owned by Sage Hospitality, overlooks Lake Erie.

Starwood has two hotels, both Sheratons, in the Cleveland area.
