Zoetry hotel opens in Punta Cana

By Gay Nagle Myers

AMResorts has opened the 53-suite Zoetry Agua Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. It is the first Zoetry hotel on the island.

The beachfront property, formerly the Agua Cana, offers one- to three-bedroom suites with terraces, concierge services, 24-hour in-suite dining, a fitness center and spa and three a la carte restaurants.

Activities range from dance and photography lessons to golf and ecological tours.

The resort’s all-inclusive Endless Privileges program covers dining, beverages, unlimited worldwide calls, 24-hour laundry service, a daily bottle of champagne, a health consultation and a massage.

The Zoetry brand launched last December when the Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita opened in Mexico’s Riviera Maya.

The 32-suite Zoetry Casa del Mar Los Cabos will open this December. Opening in late 2010 will be Zoetry Pearl Sands Cap Cana in Punta Cana.

The name Zoetry is a combination of the Greek words meaning "life" and "art form."
