Travel Ad Network acquires trip-planning site

Travel Ad Network has purchased the assets of TravelMuse, a travel-planning website, for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition follows Travel Ad Network's close of a $15 million round of financing in October. CEO Brian Silver indicated that the proceeds would go toward acquiring travel sites, content and tools as well as increasing technology infrastructure.

TravelMuse was founded by Kevin Fliess and launched in 2008.

Travel Ad Network says it delivers Internet ad campaigns across a network of over 300 travel sites, including Lonely Planet, Rand McNally and SpaFinder.
