TravelMuse introduces Embedded Web Search

Trip-planning website TravelMuse enhanced its Tripfolio feature, which serves as a central repository for users' travel research, by enabling consumers to save Web content from other websites and to deposit it into their Tripfolios.

This Embedded Web Search is designed to ease the complexity of travel planning by leveraging non-TravelMuse resources while keeping consumers on the TravelMuse site.

"It's no longer acceptable for travel websites to exist as walled gardens," TravelMuse co-founder and CEO Kevin Fliess wrote on the company's blog. "Consumers naturally visit multiple websites when planning a trip but struggle to organize all that information."

"Now, with Embedded Web Search, users can explore the Web and save any interesting Web pages directly to their trip plan without leaving TravelMuse," Harteveldt wrote. "No more managing multiple windows or endless bookmarking, and no more emailing links back and forth to your friends while planning a vacation."
