Ninety Degrees tour visits North PoleAdventure seekers can experience a new, seven-night The North Pole — Ninety Degrees North package that not only lands on the North Pole but also explores the land beyond: Greenland and Canada’s Arctic Archipelago.

Operated by the Great Canadian Travel Co., the itinerary kicks off with a flight from Ottawa to Resolute Bay on Cornwallis Island in the Arctic Archipelago. The next day, passengers continue via Twin Otter aircraft to the Canadian government weather station at Eureka on Ellesmere Island, then on to the North Pole for a short stop before heading to Greenland, Grise Fjord on Ellesmere Island and Resolute Bay.

The trip is scheduled to depart April 9, 2012, and costs $44,250 per person from Resolute Bay; the additional roundtrip airfare from Ottawa to Resolute Bay is $4,221 plus taxes.
