Classic Vacations launches Canada program

By Michelle Baran
Classic Vacations has added Canada to its North America product lineup.

Travel agents can now book air, hotels, transfers and tours to destinations throughout British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec.

Classic has partnered with 22 hotels for its new Classic Canada program, including 14 Fairmont and two Four Seasons properties. Other featured hotels are the Shangri-La Vancouver; Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour, Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto and Hilton Niagara Falls/Fallsview.

Some of the transportation and tour options include float planes, heli-tours, whale-watching, ferry transfers and wine tours.

Agents will receive a 15% commission for 2012 bookings.

Classic has been working to improve and increase its direct connectivity with hotels. Greg Bernd, co-president of Classic, said connectivity with Fairmont helped with the launch of the Canada collection.
