MLT Vacations, a subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, on Jan. 3 took over the operation of Air France Holidays and Alitalia Vacations, which travel agents in the U.S. and Canada can now sell through the Delta Vacations brand.

MLT announced it would be assuming management of the vacation businesses of Air France and Alitalia last October.

Agents earn commission on all air and land components, and MLT's existing payment and cancellation policies will apply to Alitalia and Air France packages.

Under the partnership, Europe vacations will include flights aboard Delta, Air France or Alitalia. The three airlines are SkyTeam alliance partners.

MLT also operates United Vacations, which on Sept. 17 merged with Continental Airlines Vacations.
