ARTA board elected for 2012

Nancy Linares of Holidays 'N Travel in Austin, Texas, was reelected as ARTA's chairwoman, while John Faulds of Travel Destinations in Phoenix was reelected as vice chairman and treasurer.

Marjorie Laflin of It's A Fine Day in Northridge, Calif., is secretary, and Gerda Myer of World Travel Management in Woodland Hills, Calif., was re-elected as member-at-large.

Joining the board for the first time is director Michael Taylor of Maine Travel & Tours in Westbrook, Maine.

Continuing on the board for an additional term are Bruce Bishins of Helen Thompson Travel in Toronto; Eleanor Bronner of Paradise Travel Service in San Francisco; Jane Dever of Crosby Cruises and Tours in Florida, New York; and Lynn Hayes of CWT Vacations in Greenville, S.C.

The board reappointed Bishins as managing director to oversee ARTA’s day-to-day operations, communications, and services to members. Pat Funk continues as editor of ARTA’s daily e-newsletter.
