Former ASTA president Davidoff dies

By Nadine Godwin

Phil Davidoff, 68, a former president of ASTA, died of pneumonia on Thursday in Boca Raton, Fla.

Davidoff was ASTA president in 1991 and 1992 and had been on the ASTA staff in the early 1980s as vice president of education.

Davidoff and his wife Doris sold their agency, Belair Travel in Bowie, Md., in 2003. They moved their consulting business and a specialty cruise business, Fan Club Cruises, to Boynton Beach, Fla.

Doris Davidoff said she will phase out the cruise business and continue consulting.

Davidoff is also survived by two sons, a daughter and five grandchildren.
