A Travel Leaders Group consumer survey shows that 37% plan to take a combination land-cruise vacation this year, up from 34% in 2012 and 21% in 2011.

The percentage planning a cruise-only vacation rose to 2.7% from 2.3% last year and 1.5% in 2011.

Conversely, 59.5% said they planned a land-only vacation, down from 63.6% in 2012 and 77.3% in 2011.

The survey of 1,800 consumers also found that 43.8% plan to use part or all of any income tax refund on travel. Of those that said they would use the money for travel, 27.4% said they would use all of the refund for that purpose.
