Spirit Airlines enables travel agents to add a mark-up

Low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines has introduced a Name Your Own Commission program for travel agents, enabling them to add a service charge to the price of a ticket before payment.

When travel begins, Spirit transfers the mark-up from escrow to the agency’s account.

Agencies can use funds in the account to pay for future transactions, or let the balance grow and request a check or a funds transfer.

The Name Your Own Commission program is also applicable to packages that include hotel and car rental.

For more details, visit www.spirit.com/agent.
