Nevada's suspension of the law requiring registration of travel sellers was extended another two years.

A two-year suspension was to expire on July 1, 2011, but will now expire on July 1, 2013, according to travel law attorney Al Anolik.

The state of Nevada suspended seller-of-travel registration on July 1, 2009. Before that, Nevada had required all sellers of travel to register with the Consumer Affairs Division of the Department of Business and Industry.

According to Anolik, the state suspended the law in order to streamline state government and move the division that handled registration to the
attorney general's authority.

Nevada is one of six states that has seller-of-travel registration laws. California, Florida, Hawaii, Iowa, and Washington also require such registration.
