Expedia and Amadeus ink GDS deal for North America

Expedia and Amadeus agreed to a multiyear content and technology agreement for North America, including content distribution, fare searching, Web services and the Amadeus Selling Platform agent desktop software.

Expedia has been using the Amadeus GDS in more than 15 countries as part of an agreement signed in 2005, according to a press statement.

"Building on our existing global relationship with Amadeus allows us to further diversify our GDS relationships as we continue to grow around the world," said Greg Schulze, senior vice president for global tour and transport at Expedia.

Expedia also has relationships with Sabre and Travelport in North America.
