Passport Online introduces web tool with deal-messaging

By Dennis Schaal

Passport Online, a Beaverton, Ore., supplier of Internet tools for the leisure travel industry, introduced TripBlip Web Edition, a tool that enables agencies to transmit deals to their clients through instant messages, SMS text messages, RSS feeds and emails.

Introduced in beta in 2008, TripBlip provides deal-messaging to consumers through their computers and handheld devices, including cellphones, the company said.

For users of Passport Online’s NexCite or VacationPort products, TripBlip comes with a marketing package, including a new landing page behind the TripBlip icon on agencies’ websites, an announcement letter for email or direct-mail campaigns, a press release and trade-show flyers, the company said.
