TW conference to showcase industry consultants

ORLANDO -- At the annual Travel Weekly technology conference, set for April 29 to May 1 here, 16 industry consultants have agreed to provide their services in the show's Consultants Arcade.

The conference's third annual Arcade, set in the trade show, will be manned by experts on law, communications and technology of various types.

The consultants' services are provided for free, and delegates are invited to sign up for meetings with these experts on a first-come, first-served basis.

The list of consultants, who will be available during trade show hours on April 30 and May 1, is as follows:

  • Mark Pestronk, Travel Weekly columnist and Arlington, Va.-based travel attorney.
  • Norm Rose, president, TravelTech Consulting, Belmont, Calif.
  • C. Andrew Shepp, Shepp & Associates, St. Louis.
  • David Wardell, Travel Weekly columnist and independent consultant, Vienna, Va.
  • Deslie Webb, chief executive officer, eGulliver, Atlanta.
  • Larry E. Widis, Widis Consulting, Charlotte, N.C.
  • Teresa Wilson, general manager, Southwest Travel Systems, Phoenix.
  • Chelle Yarbrough, president, Crossover Consulting, Cedar Glen, Calif.
  • The 2001 Travel Weekly Confer-ence on technology will be held at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando. The conference room rate is $147, single or double, based on space availability.
