Travelport offers GDS users commission-recovery tool

By Jerry Limone

Travelport has partnered with Net Trans to offer a hotel commission-recovery service to Worldspan and Galileo users.

The Net Trans tool automates reporting and collection processing, said Travelport, and enables agents to know exactly how much commission has been paid and how much is still owed.

All commission collection and reporting is based on data going through the Galileo and Worldspan systems, with reports provided to agents each month.

Net Trans is a completely outsourced service. The company charges a fee for collected commissions based on the number of nights stayed at the hotel, Travelport said.
