Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. knocked down a report in a Finnish newspaper that it is preparing to order a third Oasis-class ship from the STX Europe shipyard in Turku, Finland.

"It's a rumor," said spokeswoman Cynthia Martinez. "We don't comment on rumors."

The report in Turun Sanomat said the order would depend on Finnish government action to provide financial help.

Royal’s two 5,400-passenger Oasis-class ships, Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas, were both built in Turku. They now sail on Caribbean routes from Fort Lauderdale. Royal has two smaller ships being built for delivery in 2014 and 2015.

So far, STX has no cruise ship orders for those years.
