A cruise line has indicated interest in developing berthing facilities in George Town, Grand Cayman.
Present facilities in George Town cannot accommodate large ships, and the majority of passengers are tendered to shore when cruise ships call.
Tourism Minister Cline Glidden met recently with cruise officials in Florida and said the government received a "preliminary proposal from one of the lines," according to a report in
Caycompass, an online publication.
Glidden did not name the cruise line.
