Orbitz now guarantees that its prices for prepaid hotel rooms will be the lowest on the Web.

Customers who find their prepaid hotel room available for a lower price (before taxes and fees) on any site, including Orbitz, can receive a refund for the difference and a $50 discount on a future hotel or vacation package booking.

The lower price must be for the same type of room in the same hotel for the exact dates of stay.

Customers must submit their claim before the hotel's cancellation fees apply.

Orbitz said if the claim is approved, it refunds the difference in seven to 10 business days to the credit card that was used to make the hotel reservation. Customers receive the $50 coupon via email.
