Oceania’s 1,258-passenger Marina, scheduled to debut in winter 2011, will be decorated to look and feel like a "luxurious estate home," said Oceania President Bob Binder during an event in New York City.
To accomplish that look in its "owners suites," the 2,500 square-foot rooms will be appointed using the Ralph Lauren Home collection for its furniture, fabrics, lighting and bedding.
Oceania tapped New York-based Tocar Interior Design to design the suites because of the firm’s familiarity with Polo Ralph Lauren, Oceania said.
"We think it’s different," said Frank Del Rio, CEO of Prestige Cruise Holdings, Oceania's parent. "This is not a ‘me-too’ ship. Marina is so different than the rest of the ships out there. ... She is the evolution of our existing vessels."
