The 38-room La Casa del Camino in Laguna Beach, Calif., has renovated 10 suites as part of its Casa Surf Project, a partnership between several action sports companies and local designers. A portion of the rates for the renovated rooms, designed by local interior decorators for brands such as Billabong, Rip Curl, Etnies and Lost, will go to charities of the designers' choosing for the first year. Rates range from $269 to $469 per night, double. Design features include surfboards and skateboards on the walls, photo murals, reclaimed wood to mimic a pier and the use of recycled fabrics from the brands' clothing lines to make pillows and to pad headboards.
