ASTA campaign seeks to attract new members

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- ASTA members who bring in new members will be rewarded with incentives and prizes during a seven-month membership drive co-sponsored by ASTA and AutoEurope.

AutoEurope will help promote ASTA's new membership plan, said ASTA president and chief executive officer Richard Copland.

"ASTA just rolled out its 'A New ASTA -- A New Vision' membership campaign, so this additional support couldn't have come at a better time," Copland said.

The ASTA chapter that recruits the most new ASTA members will win a grand prize -- yet to be determined -- which will be presented at the ASTA World Travel Congress in Hawaii, at the end of the campaign.

In addition, the ASTA member in each chapter recruiting the most new members -- at least two travel agency or travel professional members -- will receive $150; the member who brings in a Travel Agency Company member will receive $100 in ASTAcash, which can be used to pay for ASTA products or services.
