President Obama on travel and transportation in his State of the Union address last night:

"Within 25 years, our goal is to give 80% of Americans access to high-speed rail (applause).

"This could allow you to go places in half the time it takes to travel by car. For some trips, it will be faster than flying." Pause. "Without the pat-down." (Laughter and applause.)

Napolitano has already discussed hat their needs to have more security on our current rail system. I'm embarrassed by his insensitivity to our industry. When he's not telling Americans not to go to Las Vegas he says these cheap shots about travel.

Get over yourself, we all know it's no piece of cake going to the airport anymore and getting there an hour early and being treated like we are criminals before we even commit a crime. It was a joke to lighten up the moment and if you can't take a joke, maybe you're in the wrong business.
